Phantom Gallery is my curatorial practice; it is inclusive of artists that seek collaborations, and multi-disciplinary platforms, in temporary installation space. Phantom Gallery explores the impact of the urban environment on Chicago artist, their work, and the contributions that artist make to the vitality of our city. Phantom Gallery looks at how the city influences art and artist, and how artist transform the city by contributing to civic dialogue and quality of life.

During this project we are planning to engage several groups to join us to encourage an intensive process of communication on behalf of our common ideals to fight racism, to work for peace in this world and to educate and inspire a broader audience through art, culture and architecture.   Chicago artists gathered for an encounter of cultures-Insights and outlooks in a multifaceted intensive process of communication on behalf of our common ideals July 1- 17th, 2011 in Berlin.

This October curators and artists who presented in Berlin will present this project during Chicago Artists Month. This exhibition will include: video interviews and media, artist speaking about their art, panel presentations, and an exhibition of artwork created in Berlin.

Chicago Berlin Kaleidoscope , “Cultures Connecting “ has been an exercise of networking in the global artistic community, creating collaborations, and pathways of understanding, generating dialogue with fourteen different artists from various communities throughout the Greater Chicago land community.

The International Art Group, and the Phantom Gallery Chicago Network, is part of Chicago Artists Month 2011, the sixteenth annual celebration of Chicago’s vibrant visual art community presented by the Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events and the Chicago Office of Tourism and Culture.   This project will be presented by Elastic Arts on October 1, at the Mess Hall during the Chicago Calling Arts Festival 6, and by the International Art Group at Insight Arts on October 10, 2011.
